Unlike its counterparts — Mac and Linux — Windows has had the reputation of lacking unique display features or customization capabilities. It turns out such thinking is misplaced. Instead, there are many things Windows can do that make it as helpful as any other operating system. Following are some cool tricks for Windows that will help a business person putting together a presentation or a student taking online college courses really put their operating system to work
Full-screen Display
Instead of spending time stretching out your window or limiting yourself by only maximizing it, fill the page with the Windows full-screen feature. This feature is simple to use and works for video as well as images. Just simply press the F11 key and you’ve got yourself a bigger picture.
Build your own navigation pane
One of the customizable features of Windows is the ability to build your own navigation pane. The navigation pane helps users locate files or folders faster, but if you want to find them even faster you can place those you use most within it. There are two ways of doing so: either check the option in the Folder Option settings of an individual folder, or by simply dragging them into the Favorites section.
Place windows side by side
If you want to compare information online with a Word document, you can with the Windows side-by-side feature. You can drag each individual open window next to each other, or simply click on the side by side button on the bottom taskbar.
